We believe it is correct to say that the pumps of a preparativechromatography system - if not with any chromatographysystem - are the heart of the system.Not withstanding that any part of a chromatography systemcan play an essential role, it is quite undisputed that thepumps are a key component defining any achievablechromatographic performance.In order to achieve maximum performance for each desiredflow rate range we propose two pump units, each of whichconfigurable for specific needs.For a flow rate range of up to 150 ml/min or up to 250 ml/minand the possibility for a built-in quaternary gradient mixer wepropose the S 1535 pump.For larger flow rates of up to 500 ml/min or up to 1000 ml/minand/or the use of an external binary, ternary or quaternarygradient mixer we propose the S 1525 pump.
Both the S 1525 and the S 1535 pumps are available asstainless steel version and a metal-free flow path PEEKversion.
Both the S 1525 and the S 1535 pumps stand out with a welloversized and powerful drive system, enabling workingpressures of up to 400 bar - even at 1000 ml/min.
The Sykam S 1525 Preparative Pump is available with four different flow rate ranges. The 150 ml/min, 250 ml/min, 500 ml/min and the 1000 ml/min version. Each version is available in stainless steel or PEEK. The stainless steel versions have a pressure range of up to 400 bar. The PEEK versions have a pressure range of up to 350 bar. With the use of high power DC motors and a low maintenance heavy duty mechanical drive system, the S 1525 stands out with flow rate/pressure specifications of up to 1000ml/min at 400 bar, virtually unmatched by any other supplier! For gradient formation the S 1525 can be equipped with the additional external high flow low pressure quaternary gradient option. Multiple pumps can be combined for high pressure gradient configurations or additional large volume sample uptake as part of our S 700 series preparative HPLC systems. The S 1525 pump with it’s integrated display and keyboard is also fully functional as standalone pump.
